What is tallow?
Tallow has been used for centuries in skincare. With bioavailable vitamins A, B12, D, E, K, and various fatty acids, tallow helps soften, moisturize, and revitalize the skin.
Do your products have a "beefy" scent?
We get this question all the time and while it is very valid, the answer is no!
We use a wet-rendering process for all of our tallow products. This completely purifies the tallow, leaving it odorless, while maintaining the key nutrients and benefits for your skin!
How much tallow should I use?
A little goes a long way with our tallow products. Start by using the size of a penny and see if you need more! Tallow will soak into your skin and leave your skin barrier deeply moisturized.
How should I store my tallow products?
Store your moisturizer away from light and drastic temperature changes.
To maintain its original texture, store your moisturizer in a typical temperature-controlled environment (68-74 degrees). Extreme temperatures can cause the tallow to harden in cold conditions or melt in warm conditions. If this occurs, there's no need to worry; the moisturizer is still usable, but know the texture may change.
Can I use tallow if I have oily skin?
Yes! When the skin is excessively cleansed and stripped of its natural oils, it tends to overproduce oil. Using a high-quality moisturizer, like whipped tallow, can help maintain skin's moisture balance and prevent excess oil production.
Can I use tallow if I have acne-prone skin?
Yes! The antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and skin-repairing qualities of tallow can greatly benefit acne-prone skin.

What part of the cow does the fat come from? Is it suet?
The fat we use primarily comes from the kidney area and loins of the cow. This specific type of fat is known as suet, prized for its purity and quality. Our "nose-to-tail sustainable farms" ensure that no fat goes to waste, utilizing all parts of the animal for their unique benefits for a premium blend of beef tallow.

Does this product need to be refrigerated?
No, the product is shelf-stable at room temperature. However, you can refrigerate or freeze it if you wish to extend the shelf life. Refrigeration will make the product harder, but many bakers prefer this consistency for creating flakier crusts.
I have tried many moisturizers for my dry, sensitive skin, and none seem to really moisturize that well. I wanted a non-toxic moisturizer, and this fits the bill perfectly! It absorbs into my skin without any problems, leaves no greasy feel or look, and has absolutely no smell! I apply it at night, and when I wake up, my skin is soft and smooth to the touch. I have been using it for about two weeks now, and I haven't had any breakouts!
This is not a social media discount review. I was searching the website for non-toxic face and body creams, and I came across Lady May Tallow. I thought I would try it out, and I'm so glad I did. I know we all have different skin types, and finding what works is trial and error. I'm so glad I finally found something that works for me at this point.
I also purchased the lavender & mint soap, which smells amazing and makes my skin soft. It leaves no residue or stickiness. I did try it on my face; however, it made my face feel dry, but that's just me.
I would also like to thank Lady May Tallow for the extra gifts; they were amazing as well. Inside the box were stickers, cards, and a special gift, and the outside of the box had a sticker as well. The little details can really brighten your day, and it did mine! :) Everything was packaged really nicely. The items were placed in an insulated bag with ice packs, and it arrived in hot Texas in its intended form (solid)!
I have already let my daughter try the moisturizer lotion, and she loves it! I will be buying more in the future and trying other items as well.

My skin is extremely sensitive but it absolutely loves this tallow lotion! It makes my skin feel soft and helps the look of my wrinkles. It acts as a skin protectant too, so it's helping heal the perioral dermatitis I developed from a damaged skin barrier! As a first time customer I also received a bonus body butter which is just as amazing as the lotion I use on my face and I received a little bottle of cooking tallow which has worked great and I love that I was able to use something natural and healthy to cook with! The Lotion came insulated to fight the heat, which I Loved as there was no spillage. I have been using it as face lotion, and it's been a positive experience! . My worry was feeling greasy, but it's been light and once applied you dont notice its there! I'd definitely recommend this to others
Purchased this set so I could try all of the different tallow moisturizer consistencies. The body butter and lotion seem to be about the same. The balm surprised me. Wasn't sure if I'd like that one, but it's very smooth and non-greasy, absorbed well. My daughter and I really like it. Would like it even more if scented options were available. The whipped tallow consistency is amazing, of course. That product is what got me hooked on tallow and this shop! Customer Service is excellent. Seller responded fast to my message. Not gonna lie with this being unscented i wasn't sure how it would smell. But honestly it smells like nothing which i am happy about. I am always hesitant to put scented things on my face but excited to use this! Is feels very creamy and a little goes a long way!

The first time I ordered the lotion it was the smaller size, which I loved cause it was almost like a balm…so I ordered the large size and it’s more whipped and a totally different consistency which was disappointing. Still good just not what I wanted or expected to receive.

I love this product! I have eczema and I’m allergic to anything that has flowered so I am not able to use it all over my body. But I can use it on my face. It feels wonderful. I use your plain tallow on my body. Not as nice but still so happy to have found something I can use.
